Want proof that great things can come in small packages? Meet the wizard gypsy from Poughkeepsie. Perched in the picturesque New York State town, all seemed in order for Steve. Watching the comings and goings of the bustling Poughkee's  24/7 gave the wee one plenty of time to reflect...Perhaps too much time. It seemed the boredom, much like the elements was beginning to chip away at his cool exterior. Sure he had a job and a good one at that. Steve had always considered himself an intelligent gnome but not the guy to take that extra leap...or any leap for that matter. Then the annual Christmas card arrived in December of 2008 from his cousins Saul, Bernie, Hiram and Shecky Keebler. The yearly reminder of potential not realized. Sure, they were passing themselves off as elves, but most people see the nose or the pointy red hat and generalize anyway. It's a form of ethnic soft bigotry. Still, the Keeblber's were taking advantage of the situation they were handed...and as far as he knew, they got they got the really cool tree house gratis.  Steve loved his home but he knew he must move on. Luckily that same day he was extracted by Maude Flewellen of the G. L. F. Apparently the Gnome Liberation Front had been working on a tactical rescue mission for over an hour. The hard work paid off. America had freed one little hostage, but he had the face that would become synonymous with a movement effecting dozens. After a period of debriefing, Steve was offered life-training of his choice. While in a safehouse he got his first exposure to the work of Ryan Seacrest and the decision was made. "Poster Boy"  for the G.L.F. is  admirable resume garnish indeed, but becoming the next spokesman for HMG is going to take a heart of stone. Fortunately Steve's got that as well...Or a reasonable facsimile.  So cast your vote today!  Small package? Maybe, but once you get to gnome you'll love em'!
